PhD Student @ University of A Coruña

Researcher @ IEETA

Rui Lebre interests in engineering start in the early ages and converged to the computer fields when he was sixteen years old. Two years later, he opened the door to the project of his life, starting the academic path that lead to his Masters degree. During the masters at University of Aveiro, Portugal, his interests for medical informatics and medical software got higher and in 2016 he started the colaborations with UA.PT Bioinformatics. His first project as a junior researcher was to develop a web DICOM viewer for Digital Pathology. Moreover, among other small side projects, he started the development of a Role-Based Access Control for general Picture Archiving and Communication Systems.

Rui now leverages his experience and knowledge exploring profile-based, decentralized and blockchain systems to improve the nowadays healthcare systems. In the meantime he oriented some masters students and junior researchers in their investigation.
